The Bank Hotel Istanbul is located in the most convenient area of Beyoğlu, Karaköy Banks Street, for exploring Istanbul. The hotel building, a typical example of 19th centuries eclectic architectural style that was re-novated to keep its original historical value, is formed by combining two buildings; the Sümerbank Building, built in 1876 and once home to Credit General Ottoman, and the erstwhile community center of the Neve Shalom cong-regation.
