The view of the Galata tower was as depicted in the images on the advertisement

Frequent and disruptive communication from host. Location of apartment, whilst near galata tower, was in a very sketchy part of the neighbourhood and it felt extremely unsafe. On arrival, there were several turkish men lingering at the door and renovation work being conducted in the foyer area. There was mess everywhere and rubbish and boxes stacked outside.

We were told after booking and about a week prior to check in that the apartment was on the 5th Floor. The steps are steep and arduous. There is no elevator (as stated in the advertisement)

The apartment itself has a view of the Galata tower, but was otherwise wholly disappointing. The door for one of the bedrooms did not close, the shower is over a bathtub which is difficult to get in and out of given the layout and height of the bath. The "rooftop terrace" is accessible via even steeper stairs and was a complete mess and unable to be utilised.

I did not update the booking to reflect 3 people (automatically defaulted to 2 people). Within 20 mins of arrival I received a barrage of messages from the host stating she had been watching us on the security cameras and demanded a cash payment of €100 or to check out immediately, which was not an option as it was after carrying all our luggage to the 5th Floor and travelling to the other side of istanbul.

I tried to communicate with the host via telephone but she refused saying she was unable to do so.

It was a completely terrible experience, dangerous and scary.

I have stayed in the same neighbourhood, one street over a couple of weeks ago and my experience was nothing like this.

I would strongly urge any guests considering staying at this property or any of the other apartments managed by this host in this complex at Bereketzade Mahallesi Şair Ziya Paşa, Caddesi Dış Kapı no 11, to seriously reconsider staying anywhere else.

موقع جميل في غالاتا، شقة جميلة. قضينا وقت رائع!

الموقع رائع، قريب جدًا من برج غالاتا. الشقة تقع في شارع جانبي مزدحم بالموردين الكهربائيين والبنائين، مما قد يسبب بعض الضوضاء مع التسليمات لكن لم يكن هناك أي مشكلة بمجرد دخول العقار. على بعد مسافة قصيرة سيرًا على الأقدام تجد نفسك في الطريق الرئيسي غالاتا وهو مثالي.

تواصل رائع من المضيف، أرسلوا معلومات مفيدة قبل الوصول وظلوا على اتصال في حال احتجت إلى شيء.

المطبخ يحتاج إلى تحديث، خاصة الثلاجة. الدرج شيء يجب التفكير فيه قبل الحجز.
