The family is friendly, polite, and courteous in dealing, and the Yemeni brothers work wonderfully and are ready to serve you at any time. The restaurant is open and offers very delicious meals, especially the grilled dishes they have are better than others, praise God.
The rooms on the second and third floors are a bit small and there is no kitchen, but we were provided with Arabian coffee and Mr. Farouk, the owner of the place, made it for us with great respect for three days.

**Hamsiköy Tas Otel — Review (1/5 stars)**
We cannot recommend this property. Here are the reasons:
**Room Condition & Amenities:**
Daily cleaning was inadequate. The bathroom shower/WC combination lacks proper separation, and the water mixer has critical issues — it only provides very cold or scalding hot water with no middle setting, creating a safety hazard. Despite the platform listing a TV and refrigerator, our room had neither. A kettle was only provided after multiple requests.
**Facility Issues:**
No insect netting on windows. Curtains were in poor condition. Wi-Fi was unreliable and nearly non-functional. The roof and chimney areas show extensive neglect, with heavy spider webs and accumulated debris indicating a lack of basic maintenance and cleaning.
**Environmental Problems:**
The hotel's barbecue kitchen is located directly below guest rooms, creating persistent smoke and cooking odors throughout the day and night. External noise from evening activities and street-side establishments was disruptive late into the night.
**Parking:**
No on-site parking; guests are forced to park on the main road, creating traffic obstruction and security concerns.
**Management & Staff Conduct:**
During our final hour, the cleaning lady aggressively pressured us to vacate the room at 1:30 PM, despite the official 2 PM checkout time. Her behavior was confrontational and intimidating, attempting to force entry while guests were still present. This was unprofessional and unacceptable.
**Positive:**
The only bright spot was the attentive and professional service from Mr. Jar Allah and his colleagues, who went out of their way to assist guests.
**Recommendation:**
The property requires significant renovations (plumbing, ventilation, sound insulation, Wi-Fi, parking, and structural maintenance) and a complete overhaul of management practices and staff training. We recommend visitors choose alternative accommodation in Hamsiköy.
