The location is beautiful and close to several restaurants and cafes.

They have two hotels and the displayed pictures were from another hotel named Tram Krakow. They tried to convince me of two smaller rooms than the one I booked, I refused, and after that they gave me the room I booked at the second hotel. I asked for a refreshment when receiving the key, and they refused to extend the same price to me. They don't have a lobby in the other hotel, nor slippers, and the room service is poor.

One of the best places to stay in Istanbul! We've been to four nice hotels in this city, and Weingart easily gets the top spot!

Every staff member is polite, helpful & professional. Whether you need something from reception, for housekeeping, or at breakfast, all personnel are very kind. In addition to everyone & the gentlemen at the reception, I especially want to thank Elif in the breakfast dining room who's superbly warm & hardworking!

Serious note to management: All your employees deserve recognition & a raise!

The hotel's in Karaköy, in the heart of Istanbul at walking distance to some sites (many if you're a walker) & all types of transports. Yet, while most Karaköy streets are busy with restaurants & bars booming until 2 a.m., Weingart is perfectly located on Necatibey Cd. (away from the Kemeraltı Cd. traffic noise & Mumhane Cd. tourist bustle). So you're literally steps away from all the excitement but can rest & sleep peacefully.

Also important: The neighborhood is flat = No uphill walking near the hotel.

Room was clean & equipped with everything needed. Requests from reception were delivered quickly & housekeeping was great & thorough as expected. The free room upgrade at check-in was a wonderful addition to everything.

The breakfast buffet is lovely. Everything was tasty with sufficient variety. Even though breakfast is served in the basement (no windows), the atmosphere was suitable, with fresh air & great music to set the tone. The fresh waffle batter's a nice touch!

Suggestions: 1) The orange & cherry juices were a little too sweet. 2) Adding 2-3 new items to the warm dishes would be fantastic.

Significant personal observation: No pushy bargains at this hotel. Any service offered is a polite suggestion & everyone's polite & professional.
