As soon as we arrived, we changed accommodation! Run away

I absolutely didn't like anything.

We arrived, stayed for 30 minutes, just enough time to find a better accommodation on booking and leave the property. We preferred to lose the money rather than ruin our stay in Istanbul

Beware of the photos, the property is not at all like that. First of all, it is a small complex of ground floor apartments, so very noisy in a really ugly area full of steep slopes, making it uncomfortable to reach. But the real issue are the rooms, which are dilapidated. Dirty and faded 1900s sheets, headrest full of hair and dusty. Dirty floor, fridge next to the bed leaking water. Humidity and mold on the ceiling. The bathroom, calling it that is an insult to bathrooms. Tiny sink, broken and uncovered visible drain. Air conditioner in front of the bed and dust and dirt everywhere. In short, a disgrace.

Exceptional

Comfortable beds, good location 700 meters from Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque, great staff and great food at a good price in the restaurant which is literally as you walk out the door and the rooms have very efficient air conditioning

Disappointing

The worst hotel I have encountered.

The location is good. Nearby are all historical sights.

The breakfast was very poor and monotonous. Every day it consisted of one egg, two thin slices of cheese, two small pieces of brynza, three halves of a tomato, and five halves of a cucumber. There were small (10 grams each) packages of butter, cherry jam, and honey. Bread. And a cup of tea.

The room was dirty upon check-in. During the seven days, it was never cleaned. The furniture was worn out. The mattress on the bed was sagging - impossible to sleep properly.

The view from the window was disgusting - facing a dump inside the courtyard.

There is no proper ventilation in the room - constant dampness.

Out of seven days, hot water was not available for three days. They could not adjust the boiler.

There is no sign with the hotel's name.

There is no proper reception. It was difficult to find a person to check us in.
