Very Good

Stayed at the Rooms Inn Taxim hotel. Pros:

1. Affordable prices (perfect for those who just need a place to stay).

2. Friendly staff (mainly Turkish-speaking but also know English and Russian). Welcomed me with tea, showed me around, even helped with a few minor issues like a key card not working.

3. Functional air conditioning! This is important, especially for those visiting Istanbul in the summer.

4. No problems with hot and cold water.

5. The best part - the LOCATION! Ideal for experienced travelers (for first-timers, I recommend the area near Sultanahmet Square). Walking distance to Taksim metro station and Istiklal Street. Also close to Küçükçiftlik Park (if you happen to attend a concert there).

Cons:

1. No beautiful views of the Bosphorus or mosques from the windows.

2. Not recommended to drink tap water (they immediately warned us about this, so we bought bottled water).

3. Towels were not changed during our stay (maybe if we had asked, they would've changed them daily, but we didn't stay long).

4. Unstable wi-fi. So if you need a stable internet connection, better schedule your Zoom conference for another time or find a cafe with good internet.

In general, I liked it. I love Istanbul and its people. So make sure to visit the city and see it through your own eyes.

The hotel location is excellent and the staff are helpful and respectful

We booked 4 rooms, unfortunately each room had a different issue: one room had a hot air conditioner that didn't cool down, one room had a sewage smell, and one room had a leak in the bathroom
