I have never experienced such a horrible stay in a hotel booked through Booking.com, even though the beds were comfortable.
Atrocious!
5 messages sent (via SMS and on the Booking platform) several days in advance and on the day of arrival, to confirm the check-in time: no response
On-site: Terrible reception, no smiles, no French spoken, no English spoken, no interest in understanding what we were saying...
The rooms: we were supposed to have a room with 3 beds (one double bed and two single beds), but ended up with one double bed with a 140 duvet on a 180 bed, and a 1970s folding bed... My daughters had to sleep together fighting for the duvet... And my son ended up on an old creaky bed.
The sofa in this room was stained and dirty, the shower was cold. The fridge was dirty. There were only two plates for 3 people... In short, everything was like this...
That evening, they made a whole scene about us not having our passports, had to explain our French ID cards for 1 hour outside while we were exhausted from our day...
I have never experienced anything like this in my life...
And I'm not even telling everything because I can't be bothered to write it all out, but it was atrocious (in my room: water heater near my pillow turning on every 10 minutes, broken flush, disgusting sponge, no dishcloth, no hand towels... Anyway 😕😓)
