The hotel is newly built and less than a year old. The lobby and the entire hotel made a good impression.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Our room was superbly equipped. The minibar was solid and reasonably priced.
The location is central and the main sights (Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace) can be easily reached.
Poor hygiene
During our five-day stay, the floor of our room was clearly not properly cleaned. There were food remains under the bed throughout our stay, as well as a significant accumulation of dust. There was also a lot of dust in the corners of the room.
In addition, the floor of our room was neither vacuumed nor mopped throughout our entire stay. The bathroom also remained untouched and was clearly not thoroughly cleaned.
From a newly opened Mövenpick hotel of this category, we expect a significantly higher hygiene standard as well as careful daily room cleaning. The conditions found do not meet our expectations of quality.
