Great location for a pleasant stay
The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Karakoy tram station and pier. The facility is clean. The rooftop restaurant for breakfast is fantastic.
The room is quite small. It would be great to have a more varied breakfast selection.

Would like to share a disappointing experience of staying at the Delta by Mariott Istanbul hotel.
1. Rooms. Keep in mind that when choosing a standard room, you may end up with a shabby semi-basement room on the first floor, lacking natural light, with a small window facing a wall of a neighboring building.
2. Service. Unlike other Mariott chain hotels, the staff here is completely incompetent. No greetings at the entrance. The manager at the reception desk doesn't even bother raising their head from under the desk. Any request receives the same response: 'We cannot help you with anything.'
Requested an extra blanket for the room - currently none available, we cannot help you with anything.
Asked for early check-out - please contact Booking yourself, we cannot help you with anything.
Asked to make a call regarding our booking at the reception - please make the call yourself, we cannot help you with anything.
3. Breakfasts. Very poor selection. For the first time, encountered almost no food for breakfast. The buffet had lukewarm sausage, limp salad, and stale buns. Everything we tried was tasteless. Something slightly edible is quickly taken, and the supply is not replenished.
Dirty dishes are not cleaned, and on some set tables, instead of clean utensils, there are used ones for some reason. Everything needs to be requested.
And the cherry on top - 3 out of 5 days the coffee machine at breakfast was not working. They explained that they had run out of beans. Apparently, for the hotel, this is some unsolvable problem. Luckily, there is a Starbucks nearby.
