The hotel is newly built and less than a year old. The lobby and the entire hotel made a good impression.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Our room was superbly equipped. The minibar was solid and affordable.
The location is central and the main attractions (Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace) can be reached quickly.
Poor Hygiene
During our five-day stay, the floor of our room was obviously not properly cleaned. There were food residues under the bed throughout our stay as well as a significant accumulation of dust. There was also a lot of dust in the corners of the room.
In addition, the floor of our room was neither vacuumed nor mopped throughout our entire stay. The bathroom also remained untouched and was obviously not thoroughly cleaned.
For a newly opened Mövenpick hotel of this category, we expect a significantly higher standard of hygiene as well as careful daily room cleaning. The conditions encountered do not meet our quality standards.
