Reservation cancelled without notice

I couldn't access the accommodation. The day of arrival, the code they gave me the day before didn't work, I called them and they didn't answer. Finally, I had to go through booking to cancel the reservation and choose another accommodation

The location is terrible

COMPLAINTS (especially for women)

A very nice and helpful young man at the reception - I would definitely give him an excellent rating. The room was relatively clean, except for the balcony.

I rate this accommodation very negatively and I definitely do not recommend it to anyone, especially to women. It is located in one of the worst and most disturbing parts of Istanbul - Tarlabaşı. Be very careful when choosing accommodation in this location. It is only a few hundred meters from the main Istiklal Avenue, but it can be very misleading - I didn't realize it beforehand. Next time, I know to avoid this area.

We left the accommodation on the first evening. We did not feel safe enough to stay overnight, so we forfeited the entire reservation.

The room itself was quite clean, just small. The bathroom was not great - the toilet did not work properly. There was a balcony in the room, but it couldn't be locked. That was another significant reason why we decided to leave immediately. The idea of being in such an area and not being able to secure the balcony was unacceptable to us.

Even the local people we talked to always reacted the same way: 'What brought you to Tarlabaşı? Leave immediately from there!'

The only positive thing was a very nice and helpful young man at the reception. Otherwise, unfortunately, we have nothing to praise.

Very Good

The staff were very pleasant and ensured we had all the necessary amenities. The location is convenient, in close proximity to the subway and near various restaurants and shops in case of emergencies. Despite being situated near a bustling street, we did not hear any traffic noise as it was well-insulated. The room itself was impeccably clean and extremely cozy.

The area may not be the most picturesque, but it is quite vibrant. However, one of the sheer curtains fell, and the toilet seat cover had difficulty staying up. Despite these minor issues, overall it was a pleasant stay!
