LauraNice boutique hotel in an excellent location
The location in Galata is excellent for exploring Istanbul on foot. The hotel has a modern and very well-kept design, maintaining the charm of the building. In addition, we were lucky to receive an upgrade to a room on the fourth floor that was spectacular: very spacious, beautiful, comfortable, and with very pleasant views.
The staff was friendly and attentive at all times. They helped us book a yacht cruise on the Bosphorus, which was one of the best experiences of the trip.
Cleanliness is the aspect that should be most improved. We found hairs on the bed before using it, something that we found very unpleasant and unexpected.
Being in a very central area, on Saturday night we heard quite a bit of noise from the music in the bars until dawn. Still, the rest of the nights the atmosphere was quiet and we rested very well.
We also booked through the hotel a private tour of the historic center. Although the experience was correct, we found it somewhat expensive for the level of detail provided by the guide.
MaciejHotel is very nice, with a great location to visit Istanbul, but it is too close to many bars and restaurants, so we had a big problem.
The accommodation and location were very good.
This place was very noisy because the windows were not soundproof and there were many bars and restaurants just a few meters away from the hotel, which were open until 2-3 am. We were on the 4th floor but could still hear everything.
