Reservation canceled without notifying me

I couldn't access the accommodation. On the day of arrival, the code they gave me the day before didn't work, I called them and they didn't answer. Finally, I had to resort to booking for them to cancel the reservation so I could choose another accommodation

The location is horrible

FEMALE ONLY (especially for women)

A very kind and helpful young man at the reception - I would definitely give him an excellent rating. The room was relatively clean, except for the balcony.

I rate this accommodation very negatively and definitely do not recommend it to anyone, especially women. It is located in one of the worst and most disturbing parts of Istanbul - Tarlabaşı. Be very careful when choosing accommodation in this location. It is only a couple of hundred meters from the main Istiklal Street, but it can be very misleading - I did not realize this in advance. Next time, I know to avoid this area.

We left the accommodation on the first evening. We did not feel safe enough to stay overnight, so we forfeited the entire reservation.

The room itself was quite clean, just small. The bathroom was subpar - the toilet did not work properly. There was also a balcony in the room, but it could not be locked. That was another fundamental reason why we decided to leave immediately. The idea of being in such an area and not having the option to secure the balcony was unacceptable to us.

Even the locals we talked to always reacted the same way: 'What brought you to Tarlabaşı? Leave immediately!'

The only positive aspect was a very kind and helpful young man at the reception. Unfortunately, we have nothing else to praise.

Very Good

The staff were very friendly and made sure we had all the necessary amenities. The location is convenient, very close to the subway and nearby restaurants and shops in case of any urgent needs. Despite being located near a busy street, we were not affected by traffic noise as it was not audible. The room itself was impeccably clean and very cozy.

The neighborhood may not be the most attractive, but it is vibrant. We encountered a small issue with a falling sheer curtain and a loose toilet seat cover, but overall, our stay was pleasant.
