The hotel itself is beautiful, with breathtaking views, a lovely beach and very well-maintained amenities. We had a very enjoyable family holiday overall.

We especially liked the golf carts that were almost always available to transport guests around the hotel grounds. Given the hilly layout, this made getting around extremely convenient, and the children enjoyed it too.

Hats off to Seyma at the Guest Relations desk, who provided exceptional service and arranged a fantastic boat trip for us. Many of the staff were also genuinely warm and evidently made an effort.

In general, Plaza Bodrum has all the elements to become an exceptional luxury hotel.

The main letdown was the service level, which sometimes fell short of our expectations for a hotel in this price range. The hotel often seemed short-staffed, and many employees spoke very little English. Though the staff were generally pleasant and tried their best, they occasionally seemed overwhelmed.

This led to long waiting times in the restaurants — at one point we waited about 45 minutes just for dessert — and our drink orders were mixed up several times.

Service by the pools could also use improvement. At times, we couldn't find any available sunbeds, and at the pool right in front of our room, we had to ask three times before getting pool towels.

Towards the end of our stay, a very unpleasant odour developed in our room, almost as if there was a dead animal somewhere. We reported it and the hotel promptly acknowledged the problem. The odour lessened afterwards, indicating that something was presumably done, but we never received any follow-up and the issue was not completely resolved before our departure. Since we only had two nights left, we chose not to pursue it further.

Lastly, some of the prices within the hotel felt unreasonable, even for a luxury establishment. For instance, the pool shop was selling a small inflatable crocodile for about €90, whereas the same item costs about €13 in Switzerland.

On the whole, we enjoyed our stay, but at this price point, you anticipate the service to match the luxurious environment. With better staffing and more consistent service, this could be an exceptional hotel.

A Truly Memorable Seaside Experience ✨

The breathtaking panoramic sea views, stunning sunsets, beautiful heritage facilities, sea pool, delicious food, and exceptionally friendly and supportive staff all made the experience truly special. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the spa was wonderful—especially the foam massage, which was an absolute highlight. A truly memorable stay!

I truly loved almost everything about the experience 😊. The only area that could be improved is the evening entertainment and shows, which I felt were not quite up to the same wonderful standard as the rest of the experience. With a little more creativity and variety, the night programs could be much more attractive and enjoyable. ✨
