As someone who travels a lot and has stayed in all-inclusive concept hotels in many countries, I encountered such a ridiculous situation for the first time in my life.
We just wanted to inflate our pool float at the hotel's shop. We were asked to pay 6 euros for this operation that would take less than a minute with an electric pump! This is truly embarrassing.
It's not about the money, it's purely a matter of principle. Guests paying hundreds or even thousands of euros at a 5-star all-inclusive hotel expect at least a basic service understanding. Charging a fee for such a simple operation gives the impression that the hotel is trying to squeeze a few extra euros out of its guests at every opportunity.
Such a practice is definitely not in line with the service quality expected from a 5-star hotel. It's an extremely petty and guest-unfriendly approach. It only leaves a bad impression when leaving the hotel.
I definitely do not recommend this hotel and would never consider choosing it again. A real luxury hotel stands out with the quality service and thoughtful gestures it offers to its guests; not with such disappointing practices.
