Hotel Grand Kaptan - Alanya Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Grand Kaptan was not what we expected from a 5-star

Choose a hotel with a high risk rating. This hotel poses a great risk of contracting an infection.

Liked the hotel's location, proximity to the sea, market, friendly staff,

Long queues for food, dirty sea, but the main issue was children getting sick. I was with a big family, a total of 8 people: son with wife and daughter, four grandchildren. After a day from the start of vacation, the daughter got sick, after 3 days the son got sick, who spent the last 3 days without leaving the bathroom. Upon returning home, had to go to the clinic for tests. It turned out that the daughter caught the Norovirus G I virus, while the son had 2 viruses - traces of Norovirus G and the worst - Salmonella spp. Also, my grandchild has trouble using the toilet at home. Staying at the hotel caused major issues with this. Initially, we spent money on the trip, now we also spend on treatment. Such a vacation.

Before my holiday in Alanya, I made reservations at two different hotels. However, after carefully reading the real guest reviews on Booking.com, I canceled my reservations and chose Grand Kaptan Hotel. Today, I can confidently say that I made the right decision. Therefore, I would like to thank all the guests who made objective and honest reviews first.

I am a pediatrician. Therefore, I evaluated the hotel not only as a holidaymaker but also in terms of health, hygiene, and safety.

In terms of hygiene, Grand Kaptan Hotel is truly an exemplary facility. The rooms, corridors, restaurants, pools, aquapark, and all common areas were extremely clean. I was particularly impressed by the care given to pool hygiene. The pools are meticulously cleaned every morning, and several times during the day, the chlorine level, pH value, and water temperature are measured and recorded. As a physician, I think this is extremely important for guest health.

The rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day, towels are changed regularly, hygiene products are replenished, and the complimentary mini bar is checked and refilled every day.

The variety, quality, and taste of the meals served in the restaurants were quite good. The service staff was always smiling, polite, and attentive. Their continuous follow-up on guests' needs made us feel very special.

I recommend the hotel with peace of mind for families with children. The children's pools and aquapark were very clean. The mini club and children's activities were extremely successful. The daily fun programs for children were a great plus.

I would also like to thank the Guest Relations Manager, Ms. Özlem, separately. Thanks to her smiling face, sincerity, professionalism, and solution-oriented approach, our holiday became unforgettable.
