This hotel is the biggest disappointment in the history of our trips. Let's start with the fact that this hotel claims to have 4 stars, which is an absolute lie, on the entrance to the hotel there are only 3 stars (photo attached) and it's strange that they don't check it. Our wonderful "vacation" began when one of the rooms we booked didn't match the photos, instead of a window there was a blank wall. In the second room, the door to the balcony was difficult to open and close. The furniture and overall condition of the rooms leave much to be desired. The 20th-century hairdryer would turn off every 5-10 minutes, not allowing to dry hair completely. The rooms were poorly cleaned, towels were changed only after persistent requests, otherwise they would just neatly fold dirty towels. The reception staff were extremely unfriendly, acting as if they were doing us a favor whenever we had basic questions. The view from the balconies of our rooms was a construction site. The path to the beach went through an industrial zone with the smell of garbage bins. There were hardly any free sunbeds on the beach and near the pools. The quantity was not sufficient for the hotel occupancy. When asked about this, the staff just shrugged and recommended us to wake up earlier (during the vacation), even though we always got up before 8 am. The pool closed at 6 pm. The animation was poor. The glasses and cutlery were dirty everywhere, at the bars and in the restaurant. We had to rinse them before using. Bottled water was practically never available. Be prepared to fill water independently from the cooler. During meal times, the tables were not properly wiped, they would simply remove plates, leaving all the crumbs and so on. Even when there weren't many people, the waiters would just stand, laugh, and chat with each other (during work). To get a table, we had to ask the staff to clean it every single time.

Too loud music by the pool. Lying on the sunbeds next to the speaker, it was hard to talk to the person next to you.

Great Holiday

We loved Gelidonya hotel, the food was lovely with a good selection each day, we stayed 18 nights & yes of course some of it was repeated, the pool snack bar was always burgers/chips with an additional thing that changed daily, which is good for plain eaters. The rooms were cleaned daily & we found all the staff to be very friendly, just be friendly with them, i think they have had bad reviews here, but I think thats due to a language barrier. Entertainment team are fantastic. There dedicated location on the beach is also lovely, beds do be taken early in most areas so get up & reserve unfortunately...

Only thing I would suggest is to have some more plain simple food for fussy eaters & kids.
